WE DO IDENTIFY ANY UNCORRECTED MISSTATEMENTS, UNCORRECTED MISSTATEMENTS THAT MEANS ADJUSTMENTS THAT WE WOULD EITHER MAKE OR PROPOSED TO MAKE TO THE AUDITED FINANCIAL STATEMENTS. WE DID NOT HAVE ANY SIGNIFICANT ADJUSTMENTS THIS YEAR. WE DO OBTAIN SOME REPRESENTATIONS FOR MANAGEMENT, WE DID NOT HAVE ANY DISAGREEMENTS WITH MANAGEMENT. THIS YEAR YOU GUYS HAD ABOUT THREE MONTHS, SO YOU EXCEEDED THAT REQUIREMENTS. SOME OF THE OTHER FUNDS YOU'LL SEE SPECIAL PROJECTS FUND, YOU GUYS SPEND ABOUT THE SAME AMOUNT YOU DID THE PRIOR YEAR, YOU HAD ABOUT TWO MILLION DOLLARS LESS. FUNDS YOU'LL NOTICE THERE'S A LARGE DIFFERENCE, 22 MILLION THIS YEAR VERSUS 12 MILLION LAST YEAR. THAT'S BECAUSE OF A CHANGE IN THE FUNDING FORMULA, NOTHING TO BE CONCERNED ABOUT THERE. FEDERAL EXPENDITURES, THEY WERE DOWN ABOUT THREE MILLION FROM PRIOR YEAR. YOU GUYS HAD ALL THOSE S OR POTS OF MONEY IN THE PRIOR YEAR'S, THOSE DECREASE A LITTLE BIT IN THE CURRENT YEAR. THERE IS A NEW STANDARD NEXT YEAR RELATED TO COMPENSATED ABSENCES, SO THAT'LL GET WORK THROUGH NEXT YEAR. WE ALSO HAVE TWO OTHER REPORTS, ONE IS OUR OPINION ON INTERNAL CONTROLS AND COMPLIANCE. NOW, I KNOW THAT 141 PEOPLE AND JUST OVER A 1,000 PEOPLE ON THE SURVEY, IT'S NOT GOING TO GIVE YOU AN ACCURATE PICTURE OF THE FEELING OF THE WHOLE DISTRICT, BUT IT DOES GIVE YOU A BAROMETER OF PUBLIC OPINION, AND IT BRINGS TO THE SURFACE SOME OF THE EMOTIONS AND FEELINGS THAT ARE OUT THERE IN YOUR COMMUNITY AND WITH YOUR STAFF. THE FIRST ONES WERE SKILLED COMMUNICATOR, STRONG BACKGROUND IN CURRICULUM AND INSTRUCTION, EXPERIENCE WITH BUDGET, AND COMMITMENT TO ENSURING STRONG ACCOUNTABILITY MEASURES FOR PRINCIPALS AND TEACHERS, AND THEN EXPERIENCE IN WORKING WITH DIVERSE GROUPS. THOSE WERE YOUR TOP FIVE. WE THEN POSE THE QUESTION, SHOULD THE BOARD BE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WITH THE SAME BASIC EDUCATIONAL AND MANAGEMENT PHILOSOPHY [00:45:04] AS THE CURRENT ADMINISTRATION? ALMOST 34% WANTED IT TO GO IN A TOTALLY DIFFERENT DIRECTION, SO IT'S A LITTLE DIVIDED, BUT YOUR LARGEST NUMBER, 533 PEOPLE WANTED THE SAME BASIC DIRECTION BUT WILLING TO MAKE A FEW CHANGES AS NEEDED. AN ADVOCATE FOR THE DISTRICT AT LOCAL, STATE AND NATIONAL LEVEL, APPROACHABLE, SOMEONE WHO COULD BUILD RELATIONSHIPS WITH BUSINESS AND INDUSTRY, THE FAITH-BASED COMMUNITY, AND HIGHER IT. THEY WANT TO SEE CONSISTENCY. DISCIPLINE WAS BROUGHT UP IN ALMOST EVERY MEETING, BUT THERE WERE SOME ISSUES THAT NEEDED TO BE ADDRESSED. EXPERIENCE AT ALL GRADE LEVELS AND OUR DIVERSE COMMUNITY, FIRM IN THEIR DECISION-MAKING PROCESS, GOOD COMMUNICATION SKILLS INTERNALLY AND EXTERNALLY, SOMEONE WHO HAS A LONG-RANGE PLAN FOR GROWTH, SOMEONE WHO COULD WORK TO INCREASE TEACHER MORALE AND WORK ON RECRUITMENT AND RETENTION, SOMEONE WHO WOULD BE INVOLVED IN THE COMMUNITY MAKE A LONG-TERM COMMITMENT, SOMEONE WHO WOULD NOT SEE THIS AS A STEPPING STONE TO THEIR NEXT JOB, PROVEN TRACK RECORD OF STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT, A TEAM BUILDER, SOMEONE WHO COULD WORK WITH STAFF, TEACHERS, COMMUNITY TO HELP PEOPLE WORK TOGETHER.
