OUR ALLOCATION CURRENTLY IS IS PROJECTED TO INCREASE 7.2 MILLION COMPARED TO WHAT [01:10:03] WE HAVE RIGHT NOW. I MENTIONED THE REVISED WEIGHTINGS, THINGS LIKE SPECIAL ED WILL HAVE A HIGHER RATING OF WAITING. DUAL ENROLLMENT WOULD LOSE SOME WEIGHTING THERE, SOME OTHER ADD ON WEIGHTINGS THAT WOULD GO UP OR DOWN. BUT WHATEVER YOU THINK ABOUT IT, THINK OF A PIE. SO THE STATE HAS THIS PIE FOR FUNDING SCHOOL DISTRICTS. ALL DISTRICTS ARE DEALING WITH THAT SAME WEIGHTING. SO THAT'S HOW THIS PIE IS GOING TO GET REDISTRIBUTED. IT'S NOT NECESSARILY GOING TO GOING TO GROW THERE. AND THAT'S THE SAME WAY WITH EFA, IF YOU COULD THINK OF IT THAT WAY. PART OF THIS PLAN SAYS THAT WE HAVE SEVERAL DIFFERENT FUNDS AND LINE ITEMS IN THE BUDGET. THEY WOULD ROLL INTO A SINGLE LINE ITEM IN THE GENERAL FUND, WE WOULD HAVE OUR EFA, WE HAVE AN ALLOCATION FOR EMPLOYER CONTRIBUTIONS AND FOR A SALARY SUPPLEMENT. THOSE WOULD ROLL UP ALONG WITH EIA FUNDING FOR AT RISK STUDENTS, THE TEACHER SALARY INCREASE, TEACHER FRINGE AND AID TO DISTRICTS. SO THOSE ARE PARTS THAT WE CURRENTLY HAVE. THE ONE THAT'S PROBABLY MAYBE THE TWO THAT ARE MOST CONCERNING AID TO DISTRICTS HAS GIVEN US A BUFFER. IT'S ONE THAT WE'VE HAD SOME DISCRETION OVER FOR YEARS. BUT THIS AID THIS AT RISK FUNDING POT IS THE POT THAT WE FUND, EXCEL OUT OF AND SEAL OUT OF CURRENTLY. AND PROVISO THROUGH THE HOUSE VERSION OF THE BUDGET SAYS THAT SCHOOL DISTRICTS MUST MAINTAIN THE LOCAL SALARY SUPPLEMENT AT NO LESS THAN LAST YEAR. SO WE'VE HEARD THAT YOU HAVE DISCRETION. WE'RE READING THAT YOU THAT YOU DON'T. IF WE FOLLOW THAT, THAT MEANS WE WOULD HAVE TO CONTINUE TO PAY 5000 TO 27 FOR A LOCAL SUPPLEMENT. ON TOP OF THIS NEW BASE, MEANING THE NEW BACHELOR ZERO STEP WOULD BE 45 TO [01:15:07] 27. THIS IS IMPORTANT BECAUSE IT HAS A SIGNIFICANT IMPACT ON THE BUDGET AND HOW WE LOOK AT THINGS IN APRIL AND GOING FORWARD. OUR UNDERSTANDING IS THAT LEGISLATORS ON THE SENATE SIDE, BECAUSE THAT'S WHERE WHERE THINGS ARE HEADING NOW WILL LOOK TO REVISE THAT LANGUAGE AND AND CLEAN THAT UP. BUT AT THIS POINT, AS WE'RE WORKING ON THE BUDGET, WE'RE GOING OFF OF THIS PROVISO LANGUAGE THAT SAYS THE THE LOCAL SUPPLEMENT CAN'T BE REDUCED. YOU HAVE TO MAINTAIN IT. AS FAR AS OUR BUDGET PROCESS, WE CONTINUE TO EVALUATE BUDGET REQUEST. WE'VE WE PLACED A TWO SIDED DOCUMENT IN YOUR PURPLE FOLDER. PLEASE LOOK OVER THAT. SO THAT'S ONCE WE FEEL GOOD WITH THOSE NUMBERS WE'RE MOST OF THE WAY HOME. WE CONTINUE TO WORK ON THE BUDGET UPDATES. WE'RE GOING TO FOCUS FIRST ON THOSE MUST ITEMS, WHICH ALWAYS INCLUDE THE TEACHER STAFF INCREASE. WE'RE REQUIRED TO DO THAT. IN THIS CASE, WE'RE LOOKING AT THE $4,000 INCREASE IN THE TEACHER SCALE SALE AS A MUST UNTIL WE HEAR OTHERWISE, BEST PAY INCREASES ARE A MUST. RETIREMENT INCREASES ARE A MUST. I DID MENTION IT RIGHT NOW. RETIREMENT IS 22.81% IS THE EMPLOYER PORTION. WE KNOW THAT IT'S GOING UP AT LEAST 1% TO 23.81%. AND THERE'S AN INSURANCE SURCHARGE COMPONENT OF THAT.
